Città della Scienza launches Campania NewSteel Startup Accelerator, the pre-incubation and acceleration program, that will provide support to the top ten innovative business, startup and spinoff ideas, in the areas Manufacturing 4.0, Creative Industries, Bio Economy, Smart Cities and Green Economy, ICT newly generation, Blue Growth. The acceleration path is co-financed under the “Azioni di marketing territoriale” PAC III DGR 497/2013.

The program – for startups / spinoffs already made (by no more than two years), and teams not yet made – aims to provide a mix of tools, methods and opportunities, with the aim to consolidate the business ideas and transform them into successful projects, strong, credible, sustainable, with a strong international perspective.
Campania NewSteel Startup Accelerator will be held in the months of September and October 2016 at the Incubator of Città della Scienza, which in recent years has contributed to the creation of about 120 startups, with a survival rate than the third year of life at 85 %.

The partners are expression of the world of the University, Research, Finance, Enterprise, which will offer concrete support in the development of business projects:
- Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II
- EHealthNet – Public-private laboratory of ICT applied to health
- IMAST – Technological District on polymeric and composite materials and structures
- MAREA – Public-private laboratory operating in the advanced materials sector, biotechnology and agro
- Coopstartup – National program supporting to build of companies in the form of cooperatives
- Consorzio Area Tech Coroglio
- DeRev – crowdfunding platform for creative and innovative projects for the community
- Unicredit
- STMicroelectronics

The teams and selected companies will have the opportunity of being followed and accompanied in the development of its project business through free access in Coworking area in Incubator of Città della Scienza for the duration of the program, and the following services:
- Customized Tutoring
- Coaching by high profile experts
- Support to prototyping through D.RE.A.M. – Design and REsearch in Advanced Manufaturing, the new FabLab of Città della Scienza
- Support for technology transfer and the protection of intellectual property
- Internationalization support
- Entrepreneurial Training

Further opportunities for business development are represented by meetings with investors and international operators, also part of the events coordinated at national and international level by Città della Scienza, such as Futuro Remoto, Smart Education and Technology Days, Italy – China Science, Technology & Innovation Week.
You can access the program through the announcement which will be open until August 26, 2016. After that date, if it was not yet reached the maximum number of 10 proposals selected, the announcement will remain open in the “desk” mode, until the end last September 30, 2016.

Applications will be assessed taking into account the chronological order of arrival.
