Italy is among the first countries embarked on scientific and technological cooperation programs with China for creation, innovation and development of innovative companies.

The panel “Beijing-Italy investment environment and headquarters economic development:startup, innovation and internationalization” – 26TH October, Città della Scienza – constitutes another moment of celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Sino-Italian Exchange Event, one of the most long-term established exchange events between Italy and China, which, since 2007, has promoted and provided annual B2B events, thematic forums, and continuous supporting action to the building of innovative partnerships, before flowing into the Italy-China Science Technology and Innovation Week.

Campania Region, especially through the unique experience of a Department dedicated to Startup, Innovation and internationalization at national level – chaired by Valeria Fascione – considers the enhancement of local startup and the promotion of internationalization within innovative research-enterprise contexts as one of the milestones of a local development strategy with international projection.

The Campania regional system presents itself as an R & I ecosystem highly focused on innovative technologies through: 7 universities, 40 advanced research centers working in the field of technology transfer and innovative services; 7 High-Tech Districts and 21 public-private laboratories; 36,000 manufacturing SMEs, of which7,000 export -oriented; over 400 innovative startups.
