An initiative to promote a continuous dialogue between Italy and China about innovation, science and technology, to build partnerships in technology, production and trade in the innovative contexts research-enterprise: this is what the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2015 aims for. The event took place from 16th to 20th November in China and brought together in a single format, according to the back to back formula, the two main events of the Sino-Italian cooperation: the 6th edition of the China-Italy Innovation Forum and the 9th Sino-Italian Exchange Event.

The initiative went on for five days, with the first leg in Beijingterritorial missions in Chongqing and Tianjin and the China-Pharm Summit in Shanghai . There was a large Italian delegation, led by the Minister Stefania Giannini and composed by more than 150 participantsbetween research centres, universities and enterprises from all over Italy.

The China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week follows a consolidated format over the years: seminars, workshops and business-to-business meetings between the two countries, within an institutional framework created with the ministries and the main Italian and Chinese government agencies who are interested in Research and Innovation on topical themes and issues of mutual interest. The 2015 edition was focused on the FRONTIERS of science and technology following the guidelines of the new National Research Programme and those of the 12th Chinese Five-year Plan, where research and innovation result as key factors in the development strategy of both countries.
