PARALLEL THEMATIC SEMINARS

AGRIFOOD RESEARCH AS DRIVER OF INNOVATION: FROM THE LOCAL SMART SPECIALIZATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION (in collaboration with CL.A.N. National Agrifood Cluster)

Agrifood, which is a key sector in Italy, has known an increasing expansion in China, due to an intense development in the Chinese food industry, to the dimension of the Chinese market and thanks to the growing attention paid by consumers and authorities to issues such as nutrition and health, food safety, food quality, sustainable production.
The parallel Seminars will therefore explore the potential Sino-Italian cooperation opportunities along the following topics that have been identified as priority research and innovation challenges in the food sector.

Seminar 1: Health and Wellbeing Throughout The Entire Life Cycle

The Seminar shall be focused on the challenges of preventing diet-linked diseases, with particular emphasis on the nutritional needs of specific groups of the population.
