On 17 March 2017 Città della Scienza hosted Catherine Yang, Project Manager of the EU Project Innovation Center (EUPIC), a no-profit organization that aims at promoting and supporting business cooperation between the EU and Asia. Chiara Romano, Coordinator of “Casa Cina” Internationalization Office, introduced Città della Scienza’s units and activities.

The visit started in the newest Città della Scienza’s “Corporea” Museum, where it was evident the strong interest of the EUPIC’s delegate in all the exhibition areas, not to mention the enthusiasm in noticing that all the information are available also in Chinese language.

Then, the visit moved to the D.RE.A.M. Digital and REsearch in Advanced Manufacturing Fablab, where all its projects were introduced, including the D.RE.A.M. Academy, in which a profound interest was shown.

Following, the visit moved in “Casa Cina” Internationalization Office, where the Italy-China Technology Transfer Center’s headquarter is located, and where all the internationalization activities with China presented. Then, it was held a meeting in which all the activities scheduled in 2017 were discussed, such as the Italian Technological Cluster of Excellences in China, that will be held in May, as well as the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week, that will be held in China next fall.

The visit concluded with a deep and detailed introduction of the incubator, where the most innovative startups were presented, such as Glow and Be More Human, raising a strong interest. Moreover, it was expressed the willingness in deepening the cooperation between EUPIC and Città della Scienza in the startups’ field.
