In his brief stay in Naples, Ambassador of Israel, Naor GILON, accompanied by Minister Counsellor Mrs. Lironne BAR-SADEH, was on a visit to Città della Scienza.
To receive, the President Prof. Silvestrini and the Director Amodio, who informed him about the various projects that the Foundation Idis- Città della Scienza, for years, carries out with several institutions in Israel.
Particularly interesting for the Ambassador were the results obtained from the last meeting that a delegation from the Foundation Idis held in Jerusalem in April. The first – with the Director of the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem and the Director of Italian programs at the Jerusalem Foundation - has set up lines of work on the development of new projects under the Smart Education since both institutions – Città della Scienza and Bloomfield Science Museum – are landmarks in the field of innovation in their respective countries; then they discussed the creation of an exhibit on the brain (The Brain) for which Bloomfield Science Museum has already outlined a program of contents; and finally, a fruitful exchange of activities and programs under the themes “food and agriculture”; a Memorandum of Understanding will ratify this orientations.
After the meeting “on board”, the visit to the areas of Città della Scienza: the Incubator has aroused great interest in the Israeli dipolmat, to the point of imagining the immediate and concrete cooperation on issues of innovation and development; then, all at the Science Centre, where early the Ambassador will travel back to visit in private, with their children.
