Friday, March 31, 2017 was held the third round of the project “Liberi di fare sport,” promoted by Auchan and Città della Scienza, with the aim of creating a social and educational program targeted at boys of Nisida penitentiary. The initiative is to protect health and the prevention and want to fight forms of deviance and addiction – alcohol, smoking drugs – through physical activity and the values of sport. The third meeting has seen starring Gianni Maddaloni, judo master, known for their efforts in the social rehabilitation of young even from difficult past. Maddaloni, simply for all “o’ Mae’”, brought his own personal and professional testimony, capturing the attention of kids and educators. The boys also has been given a final surprise: the thrill of holding in their hands the gold medal won by Pino, son of teacher Maddaloni, at the 2000 Olympics of Sydney.
