Città della Scienza is one of the three Campania places of innovation presented by the Campania Region to the international community in the focus on research and innovation, organized in the Italian Pavilion last Sunday 6 February 2022.
Campania has fully seized the opportunity of the Universal Exposition to present its excellence in research and innovation, with particular focus on strategic areas of the regional economy such as Aerospace and Automotive and the new challenges of Environmental Sustainability and of the Digital Transformation. After the inauguration of the “Il Volo” exhibition with the General Commissioner of Italy at EXPO 2020 Paolo Glisenti and the Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Nicola Lener, the delegation led by Councilor Valeria Fascione brought the spotlight on the Campania ecosystem, today a reference for the country system for attractiveness and dynamism, which has found expressions of excellence in some places of innovation to which a special focus will be dedicated: Città della Scienza of Naples, the Digital Artisan Center of Cava dei Tirreni and the Giffoni Innovation Hub.
During the debate, the Director General Massimo Cavaliere presented Città della Scienza, as a model of urban regeneration based on the promotion of scientific culture and innovation processes for the economic and social development of the territories.
Participating in the Dubai event represented a great opportunity for Città della Scienza to build new bridges of collaboration with the Middle East and broaden the prospects for international connections.
