Educational lessons on Physics and Astrophysics by INFN

During 2013, as part of the annual event Futuro Remoto, the Naples branch of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) has organized, along with Città della Scienza, a series of educational seminars, targeted to high school students, led by INFN researchers. The topics ranged in all INFN’s areas of research: from the universe to microcosm, from the study of neutrinos to the discovery of the Higgs boson and the concept of mass, from the energy to the physics of stars and the more catastrophic phenomena in the Universe.

The success achieved by the initiative (over 500 participants, including students and teachers) has led us to extend the offer for the school year 2013/2014 with new themes and new initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of popular science.
