National assembly of the Italian Association of Science Museums at Città della Scienza

On Saturday, April 14, the national assembly of the Italian Association of Science Museums (ANMS), the largest Italian network of museums, aquariums, botanical gardens and other structures of scientific communication, was held in Naples at Città della Scienza.

“The decision to organize this event at Città della Scienza testifies our solidarity and sympathy towards the friends of Naples, but at the same time is a clear and public demonstration that, for the Italian community of science museums, Città della Scienza, albeit severely affected in its physical facilities, is still one of the main organizations working for the promotion and dissemination of scientific culture in our country, as evidenced by the wonderful public participation to the celebration organized today”, said Fausto Barbagli, President of ANMS and head of the Scientific Museums of the University of Florence.

During the meeting, attended by museum directors and curators of the main Italian institutions, Giovanni Pratesi, director of the Museum of Natural History – University of Florence has publicly consigned to the Director of Città della Scienza, Luigi Amodio, the proceeds of the solidarity event organized solidarity with great success on March 23.
