The whole morning was dedicated to the world of school. At 11 am young students have demolished the wall dropping the last piece of wall that against the knowledge.
The cycle of conferences ended with two important guests, Stefano Boeri, architect creator of the “vertical wood” and Michel Foucher, geopolitical, professor at the Ecole Normale Superieure Paris.

The 29th edition of Futuro Remoto was a common project involving Città della Scienza, the University of Naples Federico II and the Regional School Office as well as vast network with six universities of Campania and over 400 subjects such research centers, departments, associations and experts. October 18th, 2015 – 110,000 visitors in Piazza Plebiscito for Futuro Remoto
Today the village of science in Piazza del Plebiscito has been invaded by over 30,000 people. Over 110,000 visitors were present during these days. Families, students and citizens of Naples chose to spend Sunday in contact with science, imagining the future. Ponys, boys of the Department of Physics of the University of Naples Federico II involved visitors in physics experiments set up outdoors. The conference of Fiorenzo Omenetto about materials of the future, such as silk, open up new frontiers in many fields, including medicine. Great success for the Scientific speedate: ten minutes to interact with a researcher or with questions and curiosity. At 7 pm the third part of the collective performance “broke down the wall” against the architectural barriers and rare diseases with the association TUTTI A SCUOLA, the AIMEF (Italian Association of Family Physicians), FISH (Italian Federation for overcoming handicaps ).

October 17th, 2015 – 50.000 for Futuro Remoto breaking the wall of homophobia
Piazza del Plebiscito was invaded for the second day of Futuro Remoto. Over 50,000 visitors have participated in the workshops and activities active from 10 am to 10 pm in the nine thematic islands.
Conferences with special guests were all crowded, Amedeo Balbi on the early universe and its dark components, Carlo Ratti, on his project at MIT in Boston on Senseable Cities – cities that become smart thanks to new technologies but also thanks to the “active citizens” and “connected together” as a driver of urban change. Hundreds of workshops, scientific demonstrations and science shows and many excellent visits, particularly that of the Mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris, who said: “Futuro Remoto this year in the most beautiful and largest square city, an opportunity to let everyone know about the importance of science, culture and the roots of scientific discoveries. This year’s theme is Borders, Naples without borders “. At 7 pm it was shot down the second piece of the wall in the collective performace “abbattiamoilmuro”, against homophobia and gender stereotypes.
