PHYSICS SATURDAYS
at Città della Scienza

At Experimental Physics LAB the scientific method is the key to investigate the principles managing physical phenomena. Lab’s Saturdays, the observation and study of phenomena occurs in a direct interaction of ideas with objects, in areas organized for experience and experimentation but also time for discussion and comparison.
Tablets and smartphones allow you to have a well-equipped scientific laboratory in your pocket but also to be updated with new social and productive dynamics created by the increasing popularity of devices.
The Experimental Physics LAB is divided into 5 Saturdays that take place in the laboratory classrooms and exhibition areas of Città della Scienza.
The activities start from daily reality and analyzing current phenomena. The goal is to offer students in-depth courses on topics such as kinematics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid statics, geometrical optics, wave optics, electromagnetism.
We offer no training activities but conceptual elaboration ones melting speculative, phenomenological, operational and interpretative aspects.
The Experimental Physics Lab are constructed some games and tools because you learn from the conception and realization of a project, providing a connection between what we do to things, or things, and what is happening.
