Playing with Protons Goes Digital - PwPGD

Città della Scienza participates in the international project Playing with Protons Goes Digital aimed at teachers of all levels focusing on the theme of teaching of science through an engaging use of digital technologies by experimenting laboratory activities, scientific investigation with innovative methodological approaches based on art. The fast transition to distance learning is offering an opportunity, perhaps unique, which is inherent in new digital technologies, to inspire and involve young people in the study of science.
Scientific topics, frontier issues such as those investigated by INFN and CERN, will be treated with the classes, both in presence and remotely. The intent is to build a lasting relationship, a systematic and fruitful exchange with those involved in science education, also with the aim of strengthening the ability to face and overcome difficult times such as those of the current pandemic.
The project aims to improve both digital skills and the ability to teach science in order to excite and engage the audience but also wants to emphasize the importance of science in our society.
Across Europe 50 schools, 100 teachers and 500 students will be involved in the PwPGD project.

In addition to Fondazione Idis-Città della Scienza, the partner involved in the projects are: National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), Ellinogermaniki Agogi Scholi Panagea (Greece), University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) and Creativitic Innova Sl (Spain)
