Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October Città della Scienza participates in Urban Nature 2021

The biodiversity around us help us identify the organisms that inhabit our cities
Our cities must become nature-positive and climate-friendly: this is the opening message that WWF Italy launches for the fifth edition of Urban Nature scheduled for next Sunday October 10 in which Città della Scienza will participate during the weekend on October 9 and 10, a series of fun activities and guided tours for adults and children.
This is an initiative that is increasingly establishing itself as a campaign to make the value of nature and the need to innovate the way of thinking and considering in urban spaces increasingly evident to those who live in Italian cities, recognizing the centrality of ecosystems and ecological networks and to promote virtuous actions taken by urban communities, businesses, universities and schools to protect and increase biodiversity in urban systems.

During the Urban Nature initiatives, families, children, young people, students, nature lovers will create concrete projects to protect, enhance and increase urban biodiversity. The protagonists of the WWF activists but also the dozens of civic realities active in the territory in defense of nature that will give life to visits to parks and green areas, games, exhibitions, cleaning and arrangement of natural areas, citizen, guerrilla gardening and urban painting.
Furthermore, this year the WWF Festival of Nature in the City comes on the eve of an important moment on a global scale, the opening (Monday 11 October) of the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity (in Kunming in China), convened to arrest and reverse the curve of the loss of nature.
