The 28th edition of Futuro Remoto has been launched

In the Newton Hall of Città della Scienza, on Thursday, October 30, has been launched the 28th edition of Futuro Remoto, the longest running event of science popularization and dissemination in Europe. Ceremony has been opened by the speech of CEO Vincenzo Lipardi, who underlined the importance of science education for Italy; his talk was followed by Assessor of Education Anna Maria Palmieri, the Scientific Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Italy, Mr Yin Jun, and the Admiral of the Port of Naples.

Later, Alessandro Cecchi Paone has opened the scientific talk show on the rescue of Costa Concordia, one of the greatest success of Italian engineering, with engineers Tullio Balestra (Tecon srl), Giovanni Ceccarelli (Ceccarelli Yacht Design), Sergio Girotto (Micoperi srl), Mario Scaglione (Spline scrl), Aureliano Schirripa (London Offshore Consultants Ltd) and the Admiral Stefano Tortora, Navy Logistics Commander.

At the end of the ceremony, the public has visited the new exhibition, a journey into the world of the abyss with more than 3,000 square meters of exhibits.
