From September 7 to to September 12 in La Morra, Province of Cuneo, the Inter-University Centre “Agorà Scienza” will organize the 8th National Summer School “Science, Communication, Society”. The purpose is to provide students – mainly PhD students in science – the necessary tools for communication of science and dissemination of activities and results of scientific research. Among the speakers of this edition, on Wednesday, September 10 there will be a talk of Luigi Amodio, director of Città della Scienza, in the panel titled “”Simplify and exemplify: the language and imagery of science”.
The 2014 edition of the school provides one week of training which includes:
- seminars and discussions on the various forms and challenges of science communication from blogging to data journalism, from open access to the open education
- afternoon workshops on the radio with Rossella Panarese (RAI Radio 3 Scienza) and on blogging with Marco Delmastro (CERN)
- “Grand Slam of Science” with Silvia Bencivelli (freelance science journalist)
