On Thursday, October 23, a delegation of Giovani Confindustria, the young branch of Italian Industrial Federation, led by the President Marco Gay, paid a visit to the Incubator of Città della Scienza. The delegation was welcomed by the Director of Strategic Marketing Valeria Fascione and by the Head of Enterprise Creation & Development Mariangela Contursi, who presented Incubator’s activities and operating strategy.
The most recent business projects have been shown to delegation’s members, including the call for the selection of new companies that will be able to settle in the Incubator with space and specialized services to support the growth and development of their business, as well as the first coworking space in Città della Scienza, a new service aimed at individuals and team of professionals, creatives, startuppers, designers, makers.
The visit continued with a meeting with some of the companies located in the Incubator, among which: SSRI, working in the field of Computer Forensics, security and investigative information; Enjinia, an App Farm, involved in the creation and implementation of iOS and Andoid mobile applications, web application and cloud solutions and virtualization; CtrlAltLab, a start-up specialized on interactive Augmented Reality; Oceanix, a services company that operates in the field of oceanography; and the co-worker Alberto Isola, an expert in new media and multilingual on-demand copy. The visit ended with the FabLab space.
At the end of the meetings the President Marco Gay said: “The existence of incubators like this of Città della Sienza is a positive factor that demonstrates the desire to make business; in this sense, digital is a tool from which new businesses can start, even for their lower costs. Today, incubation is changing the world of business and new entrepreneurs come from places like this one”.
