On Wednesday, March 26, at the Natural History Museum in Brussels, the Royal Belgium Institute of Natural Sciences, will be held the first worshop of international experts on the topics of the project PIER whom Città della Scienza is the beneficiary. PIER (Public Involvment with Exhibition on Responsible Research and Innovation) is a project funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission, whose purpose is to engage the public through an interactive exhibition on the themes of research and responsible innovation. In particular, Città della Scienza has proposed to consider, as a starting point for the exhibition, all of the research projects dedicated to the sea.
The workshop, organized by Città della Scienza and conducted by Guglielmo Maglio and Luigi Amodio, will have among the participants some of the most important European research institutions and non-governmental organizations and experts in the field of science communication. The aim is to identify the most significant research projects, which will be the basis for the realization of the interactive exhibition that will open in late October 2014, as well as to identify guidelines for further communication actions.
