Emme Summer School 2017, Day 3: Focus on marketing and communication

Marketing, communication and fundraising: three invaluable assets for developing science centres and museums were at the core of the day 3 activities at Emme Summer School.

Students of Emme 2017 shared their idea of scientific tours in their countries offering a lot of interesting views.

Serena Angioli, Regional Minister for European Cooperation and the Mediterranean Basin, explained regional programmes about cooperation policies.

Designing marketing campaigns for science centres were the focus of a case study and workshop led by Rosalia Vargas and Carlos Catalao Alves from Ciencia Viva.

Lourdes Lopez held the afternoon session on the use of social media in science centres. Lourdes shared some insights from the experiences of Parque de las Ciencias in Granada, Spain.

Participants worked also on fundraising plans as part of the last workshop of Day 3, led by Roger Rocca-Serra and Alain Coine from Universcience Partenaires.

Tomorrow will be exciting with workshop about exhibits: management and maintenance and speakers like Michele Lanzinger (MUSE) and Kua Patten among others.
