Over 15,000 people have showed their wish to support the reconstruction of Città della Scienza during a joyful and colorful march along via Coroglio, the street that arrives at our gates. Coming from all over Naples and province, as well as from other cities of the region and outside, thousands of citizens have cried out 60 times, once per second, “Basta!” (Enough!) against crime in Naples and the decadence of the Bagnoli area. An amazing flashmob organized thanks to the volunteers from the Facebook group “Napoli è nostra!” (Naples belongs to us), spontaneously arisen on the web after the fire that destroyed the science centre on March, 4.
Employees of Città della Scienza want to thank all the participants for their solidariety, affirming that the science centre will be rebuilt on the same site where it opened fifteen years ago. The works will start within three months.
