In Turin for the roadshow for promoting the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2017

On Wednesday 4 October the second stage of the roadshow for promoting the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2017 was held at the Energy Centre of the Polytechnic of Turin.
The opening speeches were delivered by the Rector Marco Gilli and by the Scientific Counsillor of the Chinese Embassy in Italy Cao Jianye, who both highlighted the history of cooperation between both countries in science and technology.
The presentation continued with the introduction of the Chinese scientific and economic contexts of Yao Liangjun, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, who gave a detailed focus on Chengdu and Guiyang cities, where two of the territorial focuses of the e 2017 edition of the event will be held.
Later on, Roberto Pagani, Science Attaché of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, who highlighter the main scientific cooperation actions between Italy and China, nowadays represented by more than 700 cooperation agreements between Italian and Chinese universities.
Successively Nicoletta Amodio from the Industrial Policies Area of Confindustria took the floor stating the importance of the program in supporting the industrial policy of the whole country. Then, Michele Bonino, Delegate for the Polytechnic of Turin for China took the floor: “To present the Country System in a unified manner is one of the most important strategies in cooperating with a huge and competitive country like China”.
Right after, Anne-Marie Bruyas, Responsible of International Relations of Città della Scienza, introduced the China-Italy Science, Technology and Innovation Week 2017 highlighting the main pillars of the event: the strong institutional endorsement and the networking and matchmaking activities. The event will be held in five days and in three cities, with a rich program formed by thematic seminars and one-to-one meetings.
The meeting concluded with the experiences of two National Technological Clusters of Excellences: with Laura Morgagni, Secretary General of Cluster Smart Communities Tech and with Enrico Pisino, President of Cluster Transports 2020.
