International Day of Planetaria
Sunday, March 17

Since 1991, all around Europe, on the Sunday before or after the Spring Equinox is celebrated the International Day of Planetaria. This year, despite the terrible event that caused the destruction of our Science Centre and Planetarium, Fondazione Idis-Città della Scienza and UAN-Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union join the initiative proposing on Sunday, March 17 a special day, full of events related to Space, the issue of the last edition of Futuro Remoto.

The event will be held from 10 a.m to 2 p.m., opened by Edgardo Filippone, UAN president, with a conversation on the Zodiac constellations. To follow, telescopic observations of the Sun with the amateur astronomers. Telescopes will be placed in the entrance square. In case of bad weather, will be simulated a Virtual Plentarium through different multimedia programs for a virtual observation of the sky on Internet. Participants will receive educational material.

Entrance is free.
