Last friday 23th Januarythe press conference of the first phase of the International Call of Design Contest of the new Science Centre took place. Vincenzo Lipardi, Città della Scienza CEO, and Andrea Tomasi, Inarcassa President, showed innovative criteria displayed in the realization of the call.
98 projects have been sent and 15 of them will be selected by a commission in order to get the second step.
15 participants will have 70 days to work out preparatory project.
Ranking will be worked out by June 2015
The winner will receive a prize of € 65,000.00 and commissioned to create the final design. The second winner will receive a prize of € 15,000.00; and the third one, a prize of € 10,000.00. Foundation Architects and Engineers Inarcassa also provides additional € 15,000.00 for other prizes.
The winner, after verification procedure, will have 70 days to present the final draft that will be sent, as required by law, to the Services Conference to conclude the Program Agreement.
