The Theatre Galilei 104 of Città della Scienza has hosted the only stage of the “SME Assembly – Business Tour“, a meeting aimed at identifying business models of excellence in Italy, as part of the first day of SME Assembly, the annual European event to be held in Naples from 1 to 3 October 2014.
“The fact we chose Città della Scienza as the starting point of our event demonstrates how much we believe in the work that you are doing here with the startups and the incubator”, says Costas Andropoulos, Head of the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission. “People who want to create new business are less in Europe than in other countries like the United States or China; reality such as Città della Scienza create a new entrepreneurial cultural. The fact that you manage this structure in an area where needs are so much shows how your work – putting together new businesses, new ideas, give them the opportunity to create something new – is particularly important”.
The delegation, led by Costas Andropoulos, was composed of senior representatives of SMEs, political representatives from all over Europe and by the finalists of the European Enterprise Awards.
