Teheran, Iran-Italy Science, Technology and Innovation Forum Closing

Iran-Italy Science, Technology and Innovation Forum ended last April 20th. It is the biggest European Meeting on  internationalization of reasearch and innovation systems as well as a platform for scientific, economic and cultural exchanges between Italy and Iran.

After the Opening Cerimony, IItalian Minister of Education University and Research, Valeria Fedeli, and ranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mohammad Farhadi, signed a joint declaration to improve and strenghten current Italy-Iran Collaboration in the field of Science and Technology through the involvement of Science and Technological Parks, Clusters and Fablabs.

Opening day has also been featured by 8 thematic seminars including a session dedicated to Innovation Policies with the Iranian Deputy-Minister for Research and Technology, Vahid Amadi, Innovation, Startup and Internationalization Minister of Campania Region, Valeria Fascione, and the Development Counselor of the Lazio Region, Guido Fabiani.  Topics : energy, biomedicine, agro-food, environmental technologies and ICT, including a specific focus on cultural heritage technologies, a strategic issue for two countries such as Iran and Italy, rich in Historical, archaeological and cultural heritage.

One-to-one meeting calendar has been very full: over 400 business meetings.

Over 600 partecipants: Italian and Iranian delegates. Deputy minister  Vahid Amadi and Kosro Piri, Technological Affair of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology closed the works of the first day.

During the Second day: several visits to scientific and technological centres:  University Shahid Beheshti, Iran FabLab,  Pardis Science and Technology Park and Sharif University.

Valeria  Fascione and General Secretary of Città della Scienza Vincenzo Lipardi, got in touch with Sharif University,to develop shared projects for  startup, in sinergy with the new certificated incubatorCampania NewSteel, realized thanks to the collaboration between  “Federico  II University ” of Naples and Città della Scienza. A delegation of active organizations belonging to the Marine and maritime sectors,led by Città della Scienza delegates was recieved by representatives of the Science and Technology Department of the Duputy Presidency of Iranian Republic to create a network for a future cooperation.
