On March 3 the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn has paid a visit to Città della Scienza, with a view to the meeting to be held in Brussels on April 9. Commissioner Hahn has testified the EU solidarity to President Vittorio Silvestrini and to the whole Neapolitan scientific community, stressing that “for Europe the rebuilding of Città della Scienza is very important”.

The Commissioner also pointed out that, as a former Minister for Science and Research in Austria, he is fully aware of the importance of institutions linking science and society as Città della Scienza. President of the Campania Region, Stefano Caldoro, and the Mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris, also partecipated at the meeting.
