A Global experiment
Activities that will take place in October Saturday 15th and Sunday, 16th.
This year visitors of Science Centre can participate in a global experiment of Citizen Science that will be interesting and enjoyable for each participant.
We will join a network of citizens, students, teachers and scientists around the world to learn more about our planet and its climate. The activity is to observe and record the local cloud cover using the free app Globe Observer during the first two weeks of October. Cloud cover varies continuously and try to forecast their development is one of the most important scientific challenges facing climate scientists.
Thanks to the citizens’ records and those from the satellites NASA researchers will realize a rendering with clouds moving animations that will be visible on November 10, World Day of Science Centres.
