At Città della Scienza, teaching is based on the active involvement of children and young people through interactive workshops and participatory techniques for an approach centered on direct experimentation of phenomena. Here students can acquire the basics of the scientific method using hands, mind and heart, for knowledge that is not forgotten but remains written in the baggage of experience.

Città della Scienza is committed to supporting teachers and educators by providing modern spaces and tools to enrich the educational offerings of schools. Educational research is at the core of our activities, with a focus on constantly updating teaching practices and implementing advanced methodologies that include digital skills. We aim to promote holistic development of students’ cognitive, emotional and social skills.
Educational innovation and new skills
We conduct interactive workshops that not only stimulate students’ interest but also actively involve them in the learning process. Through state-of-the-art teaching methodologies, we aim to develop fundamental skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. In addition, we recognize the importance of digital skills in the contemporary world: our labs offer tools and resources to integrate technology meaningfully into teaching.
This approach also aims to promote balanced growth by supporting pupils in developing their cognitive and social skills, and in recognizing and managing their emotions. We believe that a well-rounded education prepares students not only for the future, but also to become knowledgeable and active citizens.
Workshops
Our activities are designed to stimulate critical thinking, curiosity and problem solving, placing students at the center of the learning process and enhancing their skills and relational background. We use active practices, such as collaborative learning, not only to enable students to acquire knowledge, but more importantly to develop skills and competencies in line with the Learning to Learn approach. In this way, we promote a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students can explore, compare and grow together.

Every year, Città della Scienza organizes the “3 Days for School,” a national event that brings together educators, school leaders, experts, and companies in the field. 3 days to discover new tools, share experiences, and discuss crucial school and education issues.
