Bitus 2025 in Naples, at Città della Scienza, from October 1 to 3, 2025

BITUS – International Exchange of School Tourism and Education Outside the Classroom – will be held for the first time in Naples, in the Congress Center of Città della Scienza, from October 1 to 3, 2025. It is a one-of-a-kind event that focuses on schools leaving the classroom, connecting to the territory and experiencing culture as a concrete experience.

The brainchild of Domenico Maria Corrado and organized by Tappeto Volante de I Mercanti d’Arte S.r.l. and CoopCulture, under the patronage of theCampania Regional Government’s Department of Tourism Development and Promotion, after the success of the past three editions – Pompeii 2022 and 2023, Salerno 2024 – which recorded 60.000 total visitors – BITUS is preparing to offer an even richer, more participatory and innovative edition, with many exhibitors among public bodies and private organizations including tourist destinations, archaeological and natural parks, museums, archives, theaters, caves, theater companies, foundations, DMOs, hospitality and mobility operators, guides, experts and organizers of educational experiences.

BITUS is much more than a fair: it is a living, creative hub where education, innovation and entertainment come together. While waiting to know the themes of this new edition and the names that will articulate the program what is certain are the three macro-areas: Educational, with lectures, debates, interviews with experts, presentations of research and best practices on the topics of cultural mediation, new rules of engagement between school and heritage, design thinking and technologies for education; Experience, an experiential area open to students of all ages and families, with workshops, masterclasses, theater performances and interactive activities; and Exhibition Booths, where to discover innovative projects, educational proposals and new routes of school tourism.

Not to be missed is the BITUS B2B Workshop, Friday, Oct. 3, which is an extraordinary opportunity for direct meetings between demand – teachers, principals, educational institutions – and supply – tourism operators, cultural attractors, local authorities – with pre-scheduled appointments, targeted networking and development of concrete proposals. And to give space to the creativity of students here is the Cine & Foto BITUS 2025 Festival, a national competition aimed at secondary schools of first and second grade that enhances the experiences of educational trips through short films, docufilms and snapshots: an initiative that combines storytelling, art and memory, strengthening the link between learning and territory.
