On the occasion of the International Year of Quantum Physics 2025, an exhibition was opened at Città della Scienza on Wednesday, April 9. Quantum Nexus: an interactive, immersive and interdisciplinary exhibition designed to bring the general public closer to the revolutionary principles of quantum physics and its applications in areas such as computing, security, medicine and future communication. The exhibition was produced by Città della Scienza in collaboration with the Eudora Association and leading research institutions and universities in Campania.
The exposition offered a wide audience of visitors-particularly young people-the opportunity to embark on an educational journey into quantum physics and the second quantum revolution, experiencing live demonstrators of quantum technologies, real simulators, interactive algorithms and advanced instrumentation presented directly by some of the leading international companies in the field.
During the inauguration, institutional greetings were given by the following. Chancellor of theUniversityof Salerno Vincenzo Loia, the Rector of the University of Naples Federico II. Matteo Lorito and the President of the Fondazione IDIS – Città della Scienza Riccardo Villari.
The conference, “Quantum Nexus: a journey into quantum science and technologies,” was introduced by Dr. Berardo Ruggiero and Prof. Paolo Silvestrini of theEudora Association, scientific curators of the event.
A workshop dedicated to the applications of second-generation quantum technologies was held in the afternoon, with the participation of numerous national and international companies – including Amazon, Leonardo, SeeQc, QuantWare, QuantumValley, Classicq, IonQ, Leiden, Photonic Technologies – who actively collaborate with researchers in laboratories to develop quantum research.
Quantum Nexus provided a valuable opportunity to directly engage with the future of science through dialogue between researchers, technologists, popularizers, and representatives of industry and academia.
