One thousand young people will attend live the final event of the 2025 edition of the Elsa Morante Prize to be held on May 13 at the Auditorium of Città della Scienza, in Naples (it will also be possible to follow live on the Elsa Morante Prize’s facebook and instagram channels), this year ideally dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the death of the great writer. The jury of the prestigious Prize, chaired by Dacia Maraini and composed of: Marco Cerbo, Enzo Colimoro, Lino Guanciale, David Morante, Tiuna Notarbartolo, Antonio Parlati, Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, Fiorenza Sarzanini, and Teresa Triscari, unanimously decreed the three winning books in the sections of the Elsa Morante Ragazzi Prize, which will be read, by thousands of young readers in Italy and around the world who make up the Morante network. They are “Resisti cuore” (Mondadori) by Alessandro D’Avenia that wins the “Elsa Morante Ragazzi Prize – Il sapere,” “Lucciole, squaletti e un po’ di pastina” (Salani) by Donatella Di Pietrantonio that wins the “Elsa Morante Ragazzi Prize – Narrativa,” and “Sulla mia terra” (De Agostini) by Francesca Mannocchi that wins the “Elsa Morante Ragazzi Prize – La Storia.”
About ten thousand children from all over the world (among others from Albania, France, the United States, etc.,) will be able to read them and choose their favorite book that will win the additional Elsa Morante Schools Prize. For Italian and foreign reading groups it is still possible, until the end of April, to sign up to be part of this jury by sending an email to associazionepremioelsamorante@gmail.com.
