The activities of the Good Snack Project<\/strong> are officially underway! After signing the Operating Agreement last June, Citt\u00e0 della Scienza formed a dedicated Working Group<\/strong>, coordinated by Gianfranco Nappi<\/strong>, with the support of the Foundation’s Communication Department and experts in the field. <\/p>\n\n

The first meetings led to the establishment of the Working Table<\/strong>, which saw the active participation of Confesercenti, scientific institutes and representatives of major university departments, including Medicine, Agriculture, Architecture and Design of the Federico II University<\/strong>, as well as research organizations such as CNR-ISA, IPCB<\/strong> and theZooprophylactic Institute.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A project with clear rules and strong membership<\/strong>One of the pivotal elements is the establishment of a Code of Self-Regulation<\/strong>, which sets out nutritional, cultivation and natural processing guidelines for all participants.<\/p>\n\n

Between October and November 2024, an Expression of Interest<\/strong> called together the best producers and processors in Campania: the response was enthusiastic, with more than 20 primary producers and 4 processors<\/strong> ready to contribute to the project.<\/p>\n\n

A successful official debut<\/strong>On November 15, 2024, the Project was presented in the prestigious setting of the“3 Days for School”<\/strong> event at Citt\u00e0 della Scienza. The event was attended by participating producers and processors, as well as the Vice President of Fondazione IDIS, Dr. Giuseppina Tommasielli<\/strong>. On this occasion, the study for the Logo of “La Buona Merenda”<\/strong> was also unveiled, which received unanimous approval. <\/p>\n\n

Next steps: from schools to local distribution<\/strong>After the presentation, the Working Group continued to develop content for the Citt\u00e0 della Scienza website and information campaign. Meanwhile, together with Confesercenti, goals for the coming months were defined: <\/p>\n\n

By January 2025<\/strong>: launch of the first information and educational activities for schools in Cava de’ Tirreni. By March 2025:<\/strong> selection of the new snacks through tasting panels. By April 2025: <\/strong>official presentation of the new snacks to schools and the local distribution network.<\/p>\n\n
