42 free training courses for the digital transformation of the cultural sector.<\/strong> Citt\u00e0 della Scienza in Naples is the Hub’s lead partner and headquarters of activities for Campania.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The official inauguration is Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.<\/strong> at Citt\u00e0 della Scienza<\/mark><\/a> in Naples<\/strong>, home of the training activities for Campania and lead partner of the Hub for both regions. The Hub is promoted by the Ministry of Culture – Digital Library<\/strong> within the PNRR Culture 4.0<\/strong>, implemented by the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities<\/mark><\/a><\/strong> and funded by theEuropean Union – Next GenerationEU<\/strong>. The Hub is managed by Fondazione Idis-Citt\u00e0 della Scienza<\/strong> in collaboration with Mediateur <\/strong>and Accademia Da Vinci<\/strong> of Cosenza. <\/p>\n\n

The Calabria Campania Hub<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

L’Calabria Campania Hub<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> is part of a network of ten national training hubs<\/strong> that spread the program across the territory. “Dicolab. Culture to Digital.”<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>. In a context where there is a huge cultural heritage of 1,042 libraries and more than 380 museums and archives <\/strong>between Calabria and Campania, and where 55 percent of tourism spending in Campania is related to culture<\/strong>, this initiative aims to protect and enhance this valuable resource and create a more innovative and accessible cultural offer, bridging the digital divide in our vast ‘diffuse museum’ for which digitization is still a goal to be pursued. <\/p>\n\n

The Kick Off<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The March 13 launch event, moderated by Alessandra Drioli<\/strong>, Ambassador of Citt\u00e0 della Scienza, will open with institutional greetings from Riccardo Villari<\/strong>, President of Citt\u00e0 della Scienza, Marianella Pucci<\/strong>, President of Mediateur and Francesco Volpentesta<\/strong>, Head of Da Vinci Academy. The presentation of “Dicolab. Culture to Digital” is given by Fabrizio Pedroni<\/strong>, Head of the “Digital Education & Training” area of the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities. This will be followed by Paola Villani<\/strong>, Director of the Department of Humanities at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples, who will share a reflection on the evolution of humanities skills; Rosanna Romano<\/strong>, Campania Region Directorate General for Cultural Policies and Tourism, will speak on the Campania Region’s digital ecosystem, Tiziana Maffei<\/strong>, Director Reggia di Caserta, will talk about the digital plan of the Reggia di Caserta, Ciro Cacciola<\/strong>, Director of MAV Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum (Na) will focus on the view cycle of virtual museums, Luciano de Venezia<\/strong>, Project Manager of Mediateur will present the Hub and the plan of training activities. <\/p>\n\n

In the afternoon, the program will get into full swing with the launch of the first course, curated by Fabio Viola,<\/em><\/strong>designer of digital innovation experiences, entitled “Cultural Heritage and Digital Transformation.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

Activities and venues<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The training program, which will cover the two regions from March 2025 to February 2026<\/strong>, is part of the major PNRR projects for culture, which represent a unique opportunity for the digital transformation of the Italian cultural system, especially in the South. The three-hour courses will be held in Naples, Cosenza, Caserta, Reggio Calabria, Castrolibero and Sibari<\/strong>, involving lecturers from all over Italy, including Fabio Viola<\/strong>, designer of digital innovation experiences, Ludovico Solima<\/strong>, full professor at the University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli,” Roberto Montanari<\/strong>, director of the Scienza Nuova research center – University of Studies “Suor Orsola Benincasa,” Filippo Demma<\/strong>, director of the Archaeological Parks of Crotone and Sibari, Fabrizio Sudano<\/strong>, director of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, Annalisa Trasatti<\/strong> and Monica Bernacchia<\/strong> from the Omero State Tactile Museum, Massimo Coen Cagli<\/strong>, scientific director of the School of Fundraising in Rome. Aimed at staff of public and private cultural institutions, the Ministry of Culture and other public administrations, businesses and professionals in the sector, undergraduates and researchers from universities and academies, the courses will address crucial topics such as digital storytelling, digital accessibility, data management for cultural heritage, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and gamification. The training is free <\/strong>and certified<\/strong> with Open Badge<\/strong>, the digital certification standard for acquired knowledge and skills used at the European level and expendable in all European and national venues. <\/p>\n\n
