The sky has never been closer. On Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.,<\/strong> “Waiting for Focus Live” returns with an unmissable event for all fans of astronomy, technology and the wonders of the universe: Focus<\/strong>, in collaboration with PLANit – Association of Italian Planetarians<\/strong>, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the invention of planetariums with a special meeting at the Citt\u00e0 della Scienza planetarium in Naples<\/strong>, the largest and most technologically advanced in Italy. <\/p>\n\n

The evening will open with a talk by Roberto Ragazzoni<\/strong>, president of theINAF<\/strong>, who will take the audience on an exciting journey through skies near and far: from the planetariums that have been telling us about the cosmos for a century, to the observatories in the Chilean Andes, via the hidden face of the Moon and the James Webb<\/strong> Space Telescope, more than a million kilometers from Earth.<\/p>\n\n

This was followed by a preview screening of the spectacular 360-degree immersive video, “100 Years of Eternity<\/strong>,” celebrating a century of exploring the sky and its stories.<\/p>\n\n

But it doesn’t end there: until 10 p.m., outside the planetarium it will be possible to observe the sky live<\/strong> thanks to telescopes provided by theUnion of Neapolitan Astrophiles<\/strong>, for an experience somewhere between technology and direct observation.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The Planetarium at Citt\u00e0 della Scienza<\/strong> is a state-of-the-art facility with a diameter of 20 meters<\/strong>, 120 seats<\/strong> and some of the most sophisticated audiovisual technology in the world. Not only entertainment: it is also a powerful educational tool, able to faithfully simulate the vault of heaven<\/strong> and the objects that populate the universe, giving the public a total immersion in the cosmos. <\/p>\n\n

The event is free<\/strong>, but reservations are required<\/strong> and seating is limited<\/strong>. If you are unable to attend, it is recommended that you cancel your reservation<\/strong> to allow others to attend. <\/a><\/p>\n\n
