Appuntamento in Via Lattea! of the Sun’s equinox | Thursday 20 April 2023

Appuntamento in Via Lattea_20_Aprile_1920x1080

Once again this month, the Città della Scienza Planetarium will be holding its doors open in the evening!
Our Appuntamento in Via Lattea returns on Thursday 20 April to take you on an exciting journey exploring the eclipse phenomenon.
On that day there will be a hybrid solar eclipse, an event more unique than rare. Although not observable from our latitudes, we would like you to experience the fascination of this particular astral conjunction with another of our Appointments.

Three moments will characterise the evening, organised in collaboration with the Unione Astrofili Napoletani and with the support of Euroavia and Seds Unina:
1. Reception in the Museo Corporea with DJ set for Bao’N’Wine tasting by Casa KBirr
2. Immersive experience in the Planetarium thanks to the astronomical sound show by composer Vincenzo Adelini, with live guitar performance and theremin and sound design interventions
3. Direct observation of the stars and other celestial bodies thanks to the telescopes of the friends of Unione Astrofili Napoletani. *

The event will be organised in two time slots
Group A 19:00 – 22:00
19:00 Welcome cocktail – 20:00 Planetarium sounding – 21:00 Telescope observation

Group B 20:00 – 23:00
20:00 Welcome cocktail – 21:00 Sonorisation in the Planetarium – 22:00 Telescope observation
Visitors may choose the one they prefer when purchasing their ticket online or, up to one day before the event, at the museum ticket office.
