Città della Scienza will participate in the China Shanghai International Technology Fair held from April 21 to 23 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

This year Italy is invited as the Country of Honour at the technology fair and the Minister Stefania Giannini will represent the Italian Government with an institutional delegation composed by the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Turin Marco Gilli,  the CEO of Città della Scienza Vincenzo Lipardi and the Director Office VII of the General Direction for the coordination and research development of Ministry of Research Fabrizio Cobis.

Città della Scienza has coordinated, on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), a delegation of about 60 organizations, including research centres, universities and innovative companies, that will introduce the national projects of excellence in the sector of Smart Cities.

Besides the institutional delegation, many representatives of qualified research institutions will attend the event, as the University of Bergamo, the University of Naples Federico II, the Sant’Anna School of Pisa, the University of Padua, the University of Rome TorVergata, the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, the University of Cagliari and the University of Enna “Kore”; as well as several institutes of the National Research Council, the Agency for Digital Italy and private companies, such as Technogenetics of Milan in the field of genetics and Tecno In of Naples in the field of the blue growth.
