The thirteen edition of Futuro Remoto closed with a shocking result over 230.000 visitors.

The huge extraordinary success, with uninterrupted flows of public, lasted for all four days of the event, with long queues in front of each of the 9 thematic domes and interested public at conferences and meetings.
“We are delighted to win this bet. A bet – said the Managing Director of Città della Scienza, Vincenzo Lipardi - won not by Città della Scienza but the entire city of Naples and the Campania Region. A territory that, contrary to what you think too often, is able to stimulate passion and curiosity on cultural issues. More than 230,000 visitors are the real proof as well as more than 550 subjects between research centers, public institutions, associations and the seven Universities of Campania. All of them have found in Futuro Remoto one more reason to cooperate, networking, making system, overcoming differences and enriching each other with their own content and specificity, giving the signal that the future of this land can be really founded on the knowledge economy. “
The final day also saw the participatory presence of the Mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris, who has visited the domes, pausing to discuss with the many scientists and the many students present. Particularly followed the meeting promoted by the Region of Campania on the RIS (Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization), the development strategy based on research and innovation and lectures astrophysicist Giovanni Bignami and researchers of INFN Naples Institute national Institute of Nuclear Physics.
