Promoting scientific and productive collaborations between the economic system of Campania and the city of Jinan, the “software city” of China. This is the goal of the visit of the Jinan Municipality delegation held this morning, Tuesday 30 July, at Città della Scienza in Naples. Gao Junxiang announced that the first lot of this park, will be ready by the end of the year. These are the first 10 sectarians of the total 70: the project involves the construction of a total of 24 pavilions intended to incubate companies and host research centers, while about 35 hectares will be used to build apartments and residential facilities. The park will focus on the sectors of energy saving, environmental protection, aeronautics, intelligent manufacturing and biochemistry.

Between the Sino-Italian park of Jinan and Città della Scienza, cooperation and internationalization programs will be launched, starting with the respective incubators for companies and startups.

Jinan, the “software city” of the Dragon
The city of Jinan is the capital of Shandong, located on the central-northern coast of the Cin, third province in terms of GDP and among the main “clusters” of the Dragon. Shandong is the province on which the Chinese government aims for development in the field of Science and Technology and will host one of the six Supercomputing Centers in the country, destined to become the largest in terms of computing capacity.
With an annual GDP of 1/10 of the entire amount of Shandong, Jinan is one of nine financial centers in China and one of the top 50 economies of the Dragon and is is the economic capital of the province. It has a population of 7 million people and records high growth rates also thanks to policies focused on business support linked to the S&T sector, so much so as to favor its reputation as “software city”. Together with Nanjing and Chengdu, Jinan is the third technology center for software construction in China.
