The innovation that speaks Italian is the title of the XX Conference of the Italian Scientific Counsellors in the world which takes place today and tomorrow in Rome at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and involves Città della Scienza together with the main leaders of the world of research, university, innovative companies and startups. Two days dedicated to the connection between the national system of research and innovation and those who represent it abroad through the Embassies.

“Science as a tool for the Italian diplomacy in the world”: this is the line by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, and the Minister of Education, University and Research, Valeria Fedeli, opened the conference.

Thanks to the scientific cooperation we can find answers to the current global challenges represented by the sustainable development, security and peace, and in this way, the network of scientific counsellors in the world and the commitment of all research organizations are fundamental. A path that also will see Italy involved with the organization of the G7 for Science that will be held in Turin in September 2017.

As mentioned by Minister Fedeli, China and Iran are two priority countries and Città della Scienza, coordinator of the internationalization program of the research and innovation systems, is at the core of this strategy, and in 2017 will organize the China-Italy Innovation Forum in October in China and will see the launch of the first Iran-Italy Innovation Forum to be held in Tehran next April 19-20.
