Friendly Bugs: The Good Side of Animals with six legs
During the weekend of February, 18th and 19th, 2017, bugs will be the protagonists: activities, in fact, will be focused on some of the largest bugs in the world discovering their special role in the field of integrated farming . Lanaro Carmine Bioplanet, an Italian industry expert on the production of useful insects, we will understand how it is possible to you use small predators to limit the effect of harmful insects on plants and avoid the indiscriminate use of pesticides thus making our crops healthier. During the initiative, thanks to the presence of Valitutto, farm in Sicignano degli Alburni (Salerno), you can sample some of the products obtained through integrated farming. We also talk about the role of insects as a possible food of the future. The organoleptic characteristics and the low environmental impact that their farming entails, makes the bugs the only sustainable solution to produce enough protein to feed a world population growing.
