Cooperation with Africa

The United Nations Millennium Development Goals have set as first priority the eradication of extreme poverty and the world famine through a common path towards the improvement of life and political conditions in order to guarantee the full employment for everyone, including women and young people. In Africa, in particular, after the decolonization and the rise of national identities, it’s time for a new start for a sustainable development of the continent. Science and technology are the essential tools so that the African people can be master of his own destiny. In this perspective, measures to support economic development through the widespread of science, technology and innovation on the African territory are the best way to build a future of awareness and autonomy.

Recognized as a NGO in official relations with UNESCO, Città della Scienza has established during the last years several cooperation development programs in African countries, with the aim to promote scientific culture and technological innovation.
