Chinese delegation from the University of Sichuan visits Città della Scienza

Friday June 7th, 2019 Città della Scienza hosted a Chinese delegation from the University of Sichuan at the European project SECOND.R.I. - “Secondment for the development of research innovationin Biomaterial Rapid Prototyping”, funded by the Horizon 2020 program.

The project promotes international scientific cooperation in the scientific and technological research of biomaterials.

Città della Scienza is considered as an example of a dynamic innovation ecosystem for the promotion and promotion of research in Southern Italy. the delegation visited the spaces of D.RE.A.M. – Design and research in the advanced FabLab manufacturing sector and the business incubator of Città della Scienza.

The following meeting introduced by the general secretary of Città della Scienza Giuseppe Russo, who welcomed and thanked all the participants, underlining the commitment of Città della Scienza in the competition between Italy and China on the themes of innovation, science and technology, to build technological partnerships, businesses and companies and recalling the data of the next edition of China-Italy of Innovation to be held in Beijing from 28 to 31 October 2019.

Luigi Ambrosio Director of the Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB) of the CNR presented the entire Chinese delegation and the CNR representatives underlining the importance of the role of Città della Scienza identified by the Italian and Chinese government as intermediary of the relations of cooperation.

 Zhang Xingdong honorary professor NERCB – Sichuan University and former president of the Chinese society for biomaterials and current president of the International Union for the Science and Engineering of Biomaterials closed the meeting presenting the latest excellent  results of Chinese research on the basics in the medical field of biomaterials.
