Maria Cristina Russo, EU Director of International Cooperation for Scientific Research, visits the exhibition “Sea Horizon”

On Monday, November 3, Mrs. Maria Cristina Russo, Director of International Cooperation for Research at the European Commission, will visit Città della Scienza on behalf of the new European Commissioner for Research Carlos Moedas.

Mrs. Russo will visit the exhibition “Sea Horizon” on Research and Innovation, opened under the 28th edition of “Futuro Remoto” and funded by the European Commission as a sign of solidarity with Città della Scienza after the arson of March 2013. Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) means that all social actors work together throughout the process of research and innovation in order to better align both the process and its results to the needs and expectations of European society. The RRI is an ambitious challenge for the creation of a policy of research and innovation driven by the needs of society and able to involve all stakeholders through inclusive participatory approaches. “Sea Horizon” exhibition allow visitors to explor the applied research on the Sea, with spectacular exhibits and multimedia products.

At the end of the visit, Maria Cristina Russo will visit the Incubator of Città della Scienza.
