Save the life of a puppy!
December 20-21

wwf-natale2014

In nature each puppy needs its mother, to learn how to feed, to defend itself, to face the dangers of the world. But every day dozens of elephants, rhinos, tigers, bears, are killed by poaching or because of the destruction of their environment. Their puppies are alone, with little chance of surviving.
In Italy, almost every 43 minutes there is a crime against the environment, killing of protected species, illegal trade in fauna and flora up to illegal fishing. The work of the volunteers of the WWF is particularly important as we are a country with a high rate of lawlessness and environmental and at the same time we have the European record of “richness in biodiversity.”
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, December Città della Scienza hosts a stage of the campaign WWF “STOP crimes on nature”

In the two days it will be possible to meet WWF guards, listen to their stories and understand how our individual efforts can help their extraordinary task of sentinels of the environment. In the children’s Lab there will be laboratories, face painting, video and much more as well as meet volunteers in order to know the activities that WWF held on territory.

It will be possible to sign the petition promoted by the WWF to ask for stronger penalties for the killing of wild animals for the maintenance and strengthening of the State Forestry.

Sunday 21st then we will have the opportunity to live a unique and exciting, the release of some diurnal and nocturnal raptors that have been brutally injured by bullets of hunters, and cared at veterinarian Hospital Frullone, ASL Napoli 1, We’ll find out from near the charm of these beautiful birds that typically only observe from a distance, and we may be witnessing an event of great emotional impact: the return to freedom of a wild animal that has suffered trauma fractures and a long rehabilitation to resume flight.
