Today, October 25, 2016, in the city of Bergamo, at the presence of 200 Chinese delegates and over 300 Italian delegates, it was held the first stage of the Italy-China Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2016, event which aims to promote a continuous dialogue between Italy and China on the issues of innovation, science and technology, to build technological, productive and commercial partnerships, within innovative business-research contexts of the two countries. Remarkable presence of representatives of Confindustria Bergamo and of local business system.
Bergamo stage’s focus were the topics of Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Healthcare Technologies.
At first there was the institutional ceremony, followed by a plenary session at the presence of delegates and representatives of the organizers and partner organizations of the event. Speakers included, among others: Remo Morzenti Pellegrini, Rector of the University of Bergamo, Huang Ping deputy director of the city of Beijing, Fabrizio Cobis, Ministry of Education, University and Research, Giorgio Gori, Bergamo Mayor, Professor Sergio Cavalieri, University of Bergamo, Wang Dong, Chinese Consulate in Milan, Vincenzo Lipardi, CEO Città della Scienza.
In particular, the Mayor of Bergamo has stated that the alliance between Bergamo and Naples fostered by Città della Scienza and Universities (Università degli Studi Federico II and University of Bergamo) represents a model for Italian Country.
After the plenary session, there were three parallel workshops on the following topics: Adaptive and Flexible Manufacturing Systems for Mechatronics Solutions; 4.0 Industry in the Automotive Sector; Healthcare Technologies.
Last but not least, in the afternoon, at Parco Tecnologico Kilometro Rosso, Remo Morzenti Pellegrini, Vincenzo Lipardi and Huang Ping unveiled the plaque of the CITTC-Italy, officially inaugurating the International Transfer Center Technology Italy-China – Headquarters of Bergamo the second hub of the Bilateral Technology Transfer Center, after the one based in Città della Scienza, Naples.
Tomorrow there will be the stage of Bologna focusing on Agrifood and the first stage of Naples, with SINO-ITALIAN EXCHANGE EVENT.
