SIGNED A SIGNIFICANT COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE OPENING OF A NEW SCIENCE CENTRE BETWEEN THE CHINESE CITY OF ZHENGZHOU AND CITTÀ DELLA SCIENZA

Città della Scienza welcomed on July 19th,2017 a delegation from Zhengzhou city, capital of Henan Province, in the heart of China.

Six members of the Zhengzhou Public Culture Service Construction Office, Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, Zhengzhou Disease Control and Prevention Center and the Zhengzhou Central Hospital visited Città della Scienza.

Purpose of the visit was to study the model of the new Interactive Museum on the Human Body Corporea and to visit the 3D Planetarium, Campania NewSteel Incubator and D.RE.A.M. Fablab in order to realize, in collaboration with Città della Scienza, a science museum in Zhengzhou and to contribute to the spread of scientific knowledge and health topics. In China, the health problem of individual citizens is a key condition for the well-being of society, so it is necessary to address health issues as a strategic priority in all the development policies. The city of Zhengzhou has been chosen as one of the 38 pilot cities for the construction of a “healthy city” and for this reason the municipal government started the construction of a public health center with the aim of pursuing the expectations of the Chinese governmental plan by 2030.

The delegation was extremely enthusiastic and interested in the 100 different exhibits and interactive facilities in Corporea and this was confirmed by the signing of an important cooperation agreement between Città della Scienza and the Zhengzhou Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission. The agreement aims to collaborate in the realization of a Science Museum in Zhengzhou on health and prevention issues and, more generally, in the field of scientific communication.
