Last Journey at the Center of the Earth!
Sunday, January 29

On Sunday, January 29, you can make a last journey at the center of the Earth, at Città della Scienza: after a sensational success, the 25th edition of Futuro Remoto, launched last November, closes this Sunday.

Jules Verne’s novel will be the main theme of the day. In the Science Centre, the visitors will be followed by the guides and the characters of the novel: a petulant professor of mineralogy, Otto Lidenbrock, and his curious nephew, Axel. With them, the public will descend into the bowels of the Earth in a journey ending with a dramatic reproduction of a volcanic eruption. At the Children’s Workshop, children will give form to volcanic cones modeling clay.

At the end of the exhibition, the appointment is for October 3, when Città della Scienza will open the 26th edition of Futuro Remoto, “Factories of the Sky”: an exhibition entirely dedicated to space, on the occasion of the 63rd International Astronautical Congress that will be held for the first time in Naples.
