PICNIC of science and technology will take place next October 11th from 9 am to 2 pm at Città della Scienza as part of Smart Educational Technology Days “open doors”. There will be 10 locations where guys can show scientific experiments, prototypes, models and inventions made by them.
observing at the microscope, robotics lab, discovering the relationship between electromagnetic waves and the germination of seeds, learning the difference between synthetic and natural colors, virtual reality and Martian geology are some of the activities to be displayed. Special guides of the day will be 500 children selected from 30 schools across Italy through an Announcement of the Ministry of Education, University and Research.
There also will be the classical activities realized at Città della Scienza such: physics experiments and demonstrations inspired by the sea, others inspired by the insect world and how realize a little marine ecosystem .
ARCHIMEDES AND HIS IDEAS: A TRAVELING MUSEUM
The exhibition includes some interactive physical-mathematical workshops designed and realized by students and teachers from “Charles Darwin” Institute of Rome in collaboration with University of Rome Tor Vergata, Department of Mathematics.
EXHIBITION ON TARA OCEANOGRAPHIC SHIP

the research vessel Tara has been organizing scientific missions for 10 years to better understand the sea and the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems. Supported by the United Nations Environment Programme, Tara’s role is to strengthen the public awareness of the environment, by films, journals and books as well as an important scientific production. Tara has successfully completed 8 expeditions in Greenland, Antarctica, Patagonia, South Georgia, in the Arctic and in all oceans.
