VIRAL PASSION virtual exhibition discovering the world of viruses
From June 26th, 2020, the virtual exhibition PASSION VIRAL will be online at www.passionevirale.it
The exhibition represents a journey into the world of viruses with two main goals: first of all it means to present visitors, through beautiful images, the viruses responsible for the main diseases of human history; then the exhibition intends to guide visitors in the most serious and scientifically reliable resources on the web, so that everyone builds their own path of study, carefully avoiding all those hoaxes and fake news that, unfortunately, the Internet is scattered with.
Project in progress, which will be enriched over time, VIRAL PASSION can be navigated in an interactive three-dimensional environment and can be used for educational activities and virtual visits, as Città della Scienza has done since the start of the lockdown period, transferring its scientific communication initiatives.
The exhibition created by the scientific and creative staff of Città della Scienza with the collaboration of Ivan Gentile, professor of Infectious Diseases of the Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery of the University of Naples “Federico II”; Margaret Honey and Geralyn Abinador of the New York Hall of Science; Barbara Salvatore from the Institute of Biostructures and Bioimagery of the CNR of Naples; the Scientific Visualization course of the Vanvitelli University with the teacher Carla Langella and her students.
