On Sunday 7 May 2017 Città della Scienza hosted a delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Education, headed by Xie Gengxing, Vice Director of the Center of Space Exploration Center of the Ministry of Education and Professor at the Chongqing University, accompanied by Paolo Giommi, Senior Scientist at the Italian Space Agency, and by Giuseppe Longo, Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Naples Federico II.
The delegation visited Città della Scienza with the aim of getting to know its main units, focusing particular attention on Corporea Interactive Museum and the 3D Planetarium, given their interest in projecting a similar museum in the Chongqing Municipality.
During the first part of the visit, Anne-Marie Bruyas, Responsible for International Relations, introduced to the delegation Città della Scienza and its units, successively the head of the delegation hoped for deepening the cooperation among Città della Scienza and Chongqing Municipality, in particular with the Bishan District.
Following, they all moved to the Corporea Museum where Carla Giusti, Director of the Exit Exhibition Team of Città della Scienza, together with a scientific communicator that introduced the main exhibits in Chinese language, accompanied the delegation in the exhibition areas. The visit was concluded with a projection at the 3d Planetarium, raising a strong interest in all the participants.
